Indigenous design is absorbed into mainstream fashion narratives, without the equivalent credit, or attention to Native American political presence. To put it simply, the 'aesthetic' translates easily to the fashion community, but the context through which it exists, does not.

The story of a man who was ironic and complicated, as his art reflects. Whilst the Golden Phase appears jubilant, the emotion I keep returning to is sadness, and it does not come from his subjects, but the vulnerability he creates through them.
